HARRISONBURG, Va. – In a cold mid-week matchup, the EMU field hockey team welcomed Randolph-Macon to Harrisonburg on Wednesday.
The Yellow Jackets used goals in the second, third and fourth quarters to escape with a 3-0 win over the Royals.

Highlights
- The Royals defense held RMC scoreless in the first quarter with Ann Ghally picking up a save and Cassidy Armstrong coming up with a defensive save.
- 13' – EMU's offense had their best chance toward the end of the first quarter. Juliana Ghally got past the YJ defense and put a shot on goal, but it was saved by the RMC keeper.
- 22' – After another save from A. Ghally kept the game scoreless, RMC broke the tie with a goal by Raegan Williams that found the back of the cage, putting Macon ahead 1-0.
- A. Ghally came up with six more saves in the quarter to send EMU to the break down 1-0.
- 32' – At the start of the third, A. Ghally came up with another save but the deflection off her pads went straight to Mia Kuhnle who put it in for the goal. RMC was able to tack on another goal in the fourth for the 3-0 final.

What's Next
EMU will be back in action on Saturday when they head to Ferrum for a matchup with the Panthers. That starts at 12 pm.
